Eco-friendly commitment

Renovations and changes made to the hotel were done to preserve the environment and make the most of local resources:

  • Energy savings: air conditioning and heating controlled by a central unit (setting a minimum and maximum temperature; better response time if a guest has forgotten to turn it off, etc.); removal of radiators that use a lot of electricity; installation of 30 solar panels; energy-efficient light bulbs;

  • Water quality and management: use of eco-labelled cleaning products; aerators on taps; watering the garden with well water;
  • Waste reduction: gradual reduction of plastic waste; preference for homemade and/or local products, with glass jars; elimination of individual portions (jam, spreads, soap and shampoo, etc.); simplification of hygiene products (refillable soap only); waste sorting;
  • Upcycling: In the breakfast room, the furniture was made from demolition lumber.

To take this commitment even further, the hotel plans to obtain the “Clé Verte” seal of approval.
